Installing Docker

Docker provides installation instructions for MacOS, Windows, and Linux. It's recommended that you install the stable version.

If you're on MacOS, you can also install via Homebrew:

brew install Caskroom/cask/docker-toolbox

Verify your installation

You may need to start Docker after installation. Check that you have it installed from the command line by running:


You should get a list of commands and options. To check the version, you can provide the --versionflag.

docker --version
